On week 9 of the term renewals, and reports are despatched to parents along with a note of any badges the child may have achieved. On week 10 badges and certificates are available for purchase. Renewals can be paid in advanced.
Assessment of the swimmers is on going but if a child misses a lesson and is unable to complete the assessment that term the teacher will endeavour to complete it the following term
At present Abingdon Dolphin is a member of both the ASA and STA Swimming Associations and we presently are working towards the National Teaching Plan Awards as well as our certificates for water skills and diving. We also cover the lower distance badges within the class. Longer distances are covered on an annual distances afternoon in July.
Places within the club are secured for as long as you require it but if you decide that you no longer wish to keep your child’s place, please tell us as we presently have a long waiting list.
Refunds are not normally given except in medical cases. If you have paid for a class in advanced and decide that you no longer require the place a full refund will be given if notice is given prior to the commencement of the terms lessons.
We hold information regarding each swimmer on our data bases such as emergency contact numbers and recording their achievements, please inform us if you have any objections to this.
As Radley College is a private School we would ask you to respect their notices during exam times and leave the area upstairs, as you would hope to find it. Please use the car park carefully as we have a lot of swimmers entering and leaving the building. Also please ensure that your children use the changing rooms with due respect to other users. We currently have use of both the girls and boy’s wet changing rooms but not the dry. Please remember that children of older ages use these areas and they are primarily for each gender only.
Radley College’s swimming timetable changes from October half term to February half term and affect Monday and Friday swimmers only. During those months the lessons run half an hour later to 4:00 pm and 4:30 pm and revert back to 3:30 pm and 4:00 pm after February half term.
